WazirX Coin, Along with AKRO and BLZ, Set for Removal from Binance Listing

Understanding Binance’s Delisting Decision

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange boasting over 250 million users worldwide, has announced the removal of three digital tokens: WazirX (WRX), Kaon (AKRO), and Bluzelle (BLZ). This strategic decision is part of Binance’s routine evaluations to ensure its listed tokens adhere to the exchange’s rigorous standards. However, the delisting has triggered significant market reactions, causing the prices of these cryptocurrencies to plummet dramatically by 20% to 40%.

Why Are These Tokens Being Delisted?

Binance’s decision to delist WRX, AKRO, and BLZ stems from a comprehensive review process that assesses multiple factors crucial for maintaining the integrity of the platform. These factors include, but are not limited to, development activity, trading volume, network stability, and adherence to regulatory standards. After a meticulous evaluation, it was determined that these tokens did not align with Binance’s criteria. This move signifies Binance’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its users and promoting a sustainable cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Key Dates to Keep in Mind

The delisting process involves several critical steps that users must note:

  • Trading Pairs Removal: Trading for WRX/USDT, AKRO/USDT, BLZ/BTC, and BLZ/USDT will cease on December 25, 2024, at 03:00 (UTC).
  • Deposits and Withdrawals: Deposits for these tokens will be disabled after December 26, 2024, at 03:00 (UTC), and withdrawals will be supported only until February 25, 2025, at 03:00 (UTC).

Additionally, Binance will finalize and close all BLZUSDT futures contracts by December 23, 2024. Furthermore, services such as Binance Margin, Auto-Invest, and Gift Cards will gradually discontinue support for these tokens in the upcoming weeks.

Market Impact: WRX, AKRO, BLZ Experience a Sharp Decline

The announcement of the delisting had immediate repercussions on the market values of WRX, AKRO, and BLZ. WazirX (WRX), a prominent token in India’s leading crypto exchange, experienced a 40% drop within mere hours, settling at approximately $0.15. Similarly, Kaon, previously known as Akropolis and represented by AKRO, saw a 25% decline. Bluzelle (BLZ) wasn’t spared either, with its value decreasing by 24%, now trading around $0.10.

Binance’s Advice to Users

In light of the forthcoming changes, Binance has advised its users to take proactive measures. It is crucial for users to close any open positions and effectively manage their holdings before the specified deadlines to prevent any trading disruptions or potential losses.
